Fly Fishing- It’s What We Do.

We’re here to help you get the most enjoyment out of your time.

Maybe you’ve thought about trying fly fishing for yourself, or giving an experience day to someone else. Perhaps you would like to further develop your own skills and knowledge.

We offer guiding and tuition for anyone from a total novice to a seasoned angler; from young to, how should we say, more delicate! The idea of fishing with a guide may seem a bit intimidating, but all our guides have a relaxed and friendly approach. We have access to a very broad selection of water types, including lakes, rivers and exclusive venues and like to tailor the day to your needs. We have a wealth of knowledge on not just the waters themselves but also the environment and nature in and around them. We strive to help you get the most out of your day, using years of year-round experience. We accommodate anything from individuals to group days.

1-2-1 tuition/guiding is THE fast-track road to developing or getting the most help. We recommend at most 1 guide to 2 anglers, as we feel this offers the best service, however, parties up to 3 anglers can use 1 guide, with 1-2-1 time obviously limited. For larger group days we would recommend 1 guide per 2 anglers.

We can provide all equipment (except waders) if required.

As the seasons change, so do the species we target and we currently offer guiding on brown trout, rainbow trout, sea trout, salmon, sea bass, grayling and pike, depending on location and time of year. Each species is worthy of targeting and all can be great fun with a fly rod.

As well as getting a novice started with the basics, cramming a lot of knowledge and experience in to a short period of time, we can also help people with a specific technique, such as the new long leader nymphing and dry fly techniques which are gaining in popularity. Not sure on the different rise forms of trout or grayling? We can bring clarity to that. Why not try pike on the fly? Or stalking specimen grayling in the winter? Bass on the Solent in the Summer? Sea trout at night, or sight nymphing salmon on a chalk stream?
