Char are the mainstay at the Highlands, with brown trout also a good possibility.  After fishing in the highlands, and an internal flight, Laxardal offers the opportunity to fish for truly specimen wild brown trout.  There is not such a condensed population of fish here compared to the Highlands, but the average weight is greater, so if it’s big trout you’re after, then this is the place to come!
