Hosted Trips 2024

July 4 - 11

Iceland

Highlands and Laxardal

If catching specimen Arctic char and brown trout is a goal of yours, join Pete on a remarkable hosted trip to Iceland, staying in two locations, in pursuit of these amazing fish; firstly in the Highlands, fishing the rivers Tungnaá and Kaldakvísl and then secondly on to the river Laxardal staying at Raudhólor Lodge. The trip can be split so you fish just one destination if you prefer.

Pete is delighted to be hosting this trip for the second consecutive year on behalf of Aardvark McLeod. He has been their head guide in the UK for several years and has wanted to offer this trip for just as long. Finally the dream has become a reality - some the very best trout and char fishing available in Europe can be yours. Char are the mainstay at the Highlands, with brown trout also a good possibility.  After fishing in the highlands, and an internal flight, Laxardal offers the opportunity to fish for truly specimen wild brown trout.  There is not such a condensed population of fish here compared to the Highlands, but the average weight is greater, so if it’s big trout you’re after, then this is the place to come!
