WELCOME TO
Pete Buckey works as a full-time fly fishing guide, year round, with a personal focus on helping people catch wild fish.
Pete is a licensed coach (L2CCA) in Game Angling and as a requirement of holding that qualification, holds a clear DBS certificate for working with children and a current First Aid certificate. Pete also represents and fishes for England as part of the International Rivers Team and likes sharing his knowledge to help you with your day.
We operate mainly in the UK; the chalk stream rivers in the South of England providing the bulk of our work. However, demand has been increasing for guiding throughout Wales, Derbyshire and Yorkshire. Pete spends a lot of his free time fishing in Wales where the freestone rivers offer a different required approach to fishing the chalk streams, which he says doesn’t feel like going to a day at work!
We use a number of different guides when needed and each of them will of course be fully qualified, but more than that, we trust them to ensure that you will have a great day with them. They are not just colleagues, but friends of ours who we know will look after you, and they are really knowledgeable people, who can still get you in to the fish if conditions are against you. We do not use ‘guides’ just because they hold the necessary certificates. Each of the guides we use consistently demonstrate a varied approach to help you get the most out of your day, in a fun, friendly and relaxed way!
